The Museum’s biggest fundraiser featuring more than 40 decorated trees, gift basket raffle with more than 50 baskets and special programs including Family Night, Business After Hours, Santa Lucia Celebration and more!

The Christmas Tree Galleria is the Museum’s annual fundraiser to help cover the cost of our utilities through the winter months. Featuring decorated trees and a Gift Basket Raffle where you could win one or more baskets valued at $50 – $500+!

History Happy Hour:
History Happy Hour Returns!
History Happy Hours are back again in 2024! Featuring a different topic and presenter each month, we share something interesting about the amazing Upper Peninsula. Join us for refreshments in Toti’s at 6pm. The presentations usually begin about 645. Often the presenter will answer questions and discuss the topic with you afterwards. And of course, you are welcome to go back to Toti’s for a bit. Admission to History Happy Hours will be free again in 2024 and we will have free popcorn again. Beer, wine and pop will be available for purchase and the gift shop will be open.

History Happy Hour:
Ski Jumping In The UP, Bill Jamerson
Ironwood based singer/songwriter Bill Jamerson will present a musical and storytelling program on the history of Ski Jumping in the Upper Peninsula.
Doors open at 6. Presentation will begin about 645. Enjoy drinks & socializing in our vintage taproom, Toti’s Tavern, before and after the presentation. Free admission and popcorn.

History Happy Hour:
“Gold from Iron”, Nick Baumgartner
Join Iron River native Nick Baumgartner as he recounts his journey to Olympic Gold. Nick has been part of the US Snowboard team for nearly twenty years and represented the US at the Olympics four times. Nick continues to be a dominant force in international competition and is currently training for the 2026 Milano Corntina Winter Olympics.

History Happy Hour:
Mushing in the UP, Darlene Walch
UP200 President, Darlene Walch, will share stories and history of the popular art and science of Mushing! From before the time of motorized cars, long into the modern era, mushing has been a necessary and oft romanticized sport. Join Walch on an historical look through time.

Tastings, Tapas & Tours
A Museum fundraiser featuring wine tasting, appetizers, entertainment and tours of select exhibits featuring knowledgeable volunteers. Tickets are $50 per person or $90 per couple. Call for over the phone credit card sale or mail your check with a list of the names of people attending. Tickets will be waiting for you at check-in.
This event is designed for adults. Alcohol will be served (and sold) at this event. While minors or not precluded from attending, tickets for minors are the same price as for adults, but they will not be allowed to partake in alcoholic beverages.
To purchase tickets online click on the donate button above which will take you to a Paypal page. Use the drop down to choose Tastings and Tapas. In the donation box enter the amount of $50 or $90 times the number of tickets you are purchasing. Please list the names of the people you are purchasing tickets for. Apologies that this isn’t a seamless experience, it is the best we can do for now.
